Experience Butterbeer Season at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter in 2024

As you know I’m a huge Harry Potter Fan! As a child reading the books and imagining this world it just felt like something I was quickly just whisked away into. As time went on and more books released, I would wait for midnight releases with Potter Fans all around and we claimed our houses. It was a world of imagination that brought so many of us together.
Now fast forward to the movies, whooo by the time they released I was “Hogwarts Alumni” but my love for the books grew even more. Then one day it was announced “The Wizarding World of Harry Potter” was coming to Universal Studios Hollywood!!!

My dreams of drinking butterbeer in Hogsmeade just became REAL!!! Well now this bring me to 2024 and I was invited by Universal Studios to come out to Hollywood, to visit the new Florean Fortescue’s Ice-Cream counter plus celebrate all-things Butterbeer during the first-ever Butterbeer Season!!! Let me tell you as a former Hogwarts Alumni this is a dream come true.

Currently now through April 30th you to can enjoy The Butterbeer Season with your family and friends. I do recommend you check out passes and payment plans are available!

So on the morning of April 4th I embarked my journey back to Hogsmeade to take in all the butterbeer my little heart could handle! Upon walking thru the Wizarding World I was caught up in the middle of spring breakers but that didn’t even bother me because I could feel the magic! All the magic around me with kids with wands, adults and children in robes and it just was an amazing site!

Now after all this swirling thru my head I made it to the Media Section where I was presented with the most beautiful set up of Potted Cream, Butterbeer Fudge, Hard Packed Ice cream and Gilly Water!!!
There was people walking around with Butterbeer! Whether you like it cold, frozen or hot, there’s nothing like a fresh cup of Butterbeer to bring the magic into your veins!

Let me tell you about the butterbeer goodness and where you can get it!

Potted Cream
First let’s talk about “Potted Cream” which can be purchased inside The Three Broomsticks. You can also buy assorted Butterbeer drinks but this is the spot to get your hands on the coveted little cream. The Potted Cream is like pudding with a dallop of whip cream. The cream is smooth and vanilla like in flavor with hints of dare I say caramel. Either way for $5.99 this is on that shouldn’t be missed.

Butterbeer Fudge:
You have to enter the infamous Honeydukes and you will walk up to the counter where there are manyyyy delicious items but the key item here is the “Fudge”!! The case of goodness had a few things I wanted but what caught my eye was the “Cauldron Cake” with the flames made of frosting! Like stahhhhp! Must have!

Butterbeer:
Whether its iced, hot or frozen this is one not to be missed! I mean as a third year you are permitted to head to Hogsmeade to get none other than Butterbeer! But where can you get this delicious drink well you can get it at Three Broomsticks, Hog’s Head and the Butterbeer street cart. The line may be long but I promise it moves quickly. And for those that want an “adult beverage” order a whiskey shot head over to Hog’s Head and maybe even try Spiced Mead!

Soft Serve Butterbeer:
Now for the reason why you are reading this to find out where can you get your Butterbeer Ice Cream in Soft Serve!! Well you are going to head into Florean Fortescue’s Ice-Cream located inside Honeydukes. Here you can pick from soft serve in either a $7.29 cup, $8.29 cone or $10.50 souvenir cup.
Did I mention there are 10 Flavors in Soft Serve. As for what flavors well Butterbeer, Banana, Chocolate, Mint, Orange, Vanilla, Toffee Nut, Granny Smith Apple, Pistachio and Toffee Apple.
And YES, I tried all of them!!!!

Hard Pack Ice Cream:
This can be purchased at The Three Broomsticks for $6.99! There are 4 flavors Butterbeer, Chocolate, Vanilla and Strawberry/Peanut Butter Ice Cream! And let me tell you YES, these are amazing. A side note if you have kids these don’t melt as fast as the soft serve so I recommend these for your kids. This was my fav as I felt I was able to enjoy it and sit and reminisce on my book journey!

After I ate everything and filmed and took all the photos. I tried to take some butterbeer soft serve to go and take it to my kids. I did bring them a piece of fudge to share and rushed out!!! A friend saw my family on the way out and gave them her hard pack ice cream which made it out of the park in tact unlike my soft serve. Nonetheless my family enjoyed it and can’t wait to go back and experience this in person!

I can’t express enough the joy I get walking around the Wizarding World. The little girl in me can sit there for hours on end and just pinch myself that this is real!

Hope to see you embark on your journey to this magical place and be sure to try out the Butterbeer!!!!
