Summer Time is here! Which means one thing all the summer reading programs begin!! It’s the best time of the year because kids get to read and get incententives. School may be over but the books are waiting to be explored and discovered. So let’s chat books and how we can accomplish those goals and scroll down below

I’ve compiled a list of “Middle Grade Readers” my girls are loving and waiting to be read this summer! If you are interested be sure to click the link and grab some. Or head to your local Library to borrow the books.(This is an affiliate link so with your purchase I make a few pennies! Thank you!!) I will add more books as summer progresses and will update on instagram so stay tuned.

These books add up quick and at times are too much so I recommend the gift that keeps on giving, Kindle Paperwhite Kids! You the parent can set “restrictions”, time limits, check on their goals and so much more. What I like is the girls have access to an endless amount of books and I don’t have to worry about the content of the books. In the event the girls don’t have a book on their Amazon Library they can use their ipad to search Libby, or head into the library to search for it. Shop our Kindle Favorites Here!

What is the Libby App? This amazing app is connected to your library card and you have access to thousands of ebooks. So here is the downfall your children can request any book, so you can sit with your child and search or just trust they know what to find! But if they do get a book that is not age appropriate you can either deny or approve the request as you need to add this to their Kindle from your Amazon account. It’s sort of a long process but if you have questions send me a DM. I’ve now let the girls search for books on their ipads and will check it to see when they are up for the read! This is encouraging them to be their own little human and I mean its been good for them!

These tools have really maximized the access to book and in the even they love the book well it becomes the trophy on their shelf! There are more apps but this is what we are using so far to accomplish our Summer Reading Goals!

San Bernardino County Library– Prizes Each Week and chance for a raffle and gift!
Upland Library – Prizes Each Week and Lunch for Kids 0-18
LA Public Library – Badges each week and Participation Prizes each week
Scholastic Books– Summer Reading game you can download.

The great thing about the Library ones you can get a card for free as a long as you are a California Resident. So venture a city over or a county and join some really cool Summer Reading Programs.
