We are huge fans of “Exploring Nature With Children” Curriculum from Raising Little Shoots. Each week we study a topic, visit our favorite locations in search of what we learn, bake something if possible and of course make a craft. Each week I declare it my favorite but to be honest every single week is!!!
There is a schedule to follow and for week 2 of June in the Summer section we studied “Bees”!!!! Bees are such a huge part of our entire world without them we wouldn’t exist. Here are some glimpses of our Bee Study and how I set up our table and we work together. It’s been a real treat to watch as the girls grow and become more intricate with their work. They grasp more concepts over the years and we really go in depth with each subject.

So the reason why you’re here is to learn how to wet felt some bees! This project takes a bit of time getting all the supplies but you can buy everything from a list I curated on Amazon! (This is an affiliate link so thank you for purchasing from my list)
These little bees are a great way to introduce handwork to your kids and for yourself. Handwork has so many benefits from cognitive, therapeutic, motor skills, and the rhythm creates a sense of unwind so your child can relax and focus. There is a huge commitment in tapping these little balls into existence. If your child doesn’t last you get to do the rest and trust me you will find so much joy in just sitting and tapping and rolling!

If you use the craft come back and let us know in the comments, tag us on IG and lets all create little bees!!! download my tutorial below.
