It’s here!! My favorite games! I love the unity the Olympics bring. Seeing all the people of the world send their best to bring home a medal! It’s such an amazing part of history we get to watch every 4 years!

Four Years ago my girls were little and didn’t quite understand. But flash forward and a pandemic delay we finally get to watch the games! I was around my girls age when I really remember watching the games. I loved sitting with my daddy and hearing him talk about certain countries who were just the best. Loved hearing about him going to watch the 1984 Olympics at the Coliseum. I always wanted to attend the games as a spectator and cheer on USA. And I will get my chance in July 2028 when they come to LA once again!!!

Well till then I have to make sure I make it special for my girls! I want them to watch the games and cheer on the USA. I want them to appreciate the opening ceremonies and watch people who pushed to be the very best!

So of course I had to throw myself into this and make it of value and the perfect learning opportunity. Make an Olympian Wreath a good way to get some handwork in so we shall finger knit and explain about the importance, the torch and what it signifies. I wanted them to explain what event they would want to compete in and why. Dye an American Colored Playsilk. Eat some USA colored junk food, get a ticket to our favorite event and park ourselves on the sofa.

I hope you enjoy the games or at least make it a point to celebrate your countries win!
